At Porcelain root-canal treatment is made in two steps: mechanical proceeding of the root and filling of the root-canal. Mechanical proceeding means root-canal cleaning with the help of mechanical instruments and special chemical solutions. Mechanical proceeding effect is activated by temperature and ultrasonic vibrations. Filling of root-canals is done with the help of System B and Obtura appliances, by so-called “three-dimensional” method which means that thermoplastic mass under 200 0 C and high pressure is placed into prepared root-canal contacting with tooth tissues and hermetically closing the tooth. Such method of treatment takes about 1,5-2 hours per one tooth. Our experience shows that such careful filling of roots gives excellent results even in treatment of cysts, cyst-granulomas, root perforations.
On the x-ray above you can see results of root-canal treatment with operating microsope, System b and Obtura. This case is unique because Dr Purpura had found fifth root at molar on the lower jaw, which would be impossible with usual instruments.
